Oh, Diane we used to laugh at all the jerks who trade their lives away for money. Just to pay for their prescriptions and a mid-life heart attack. Now that years have come and gone, it seems the joke it ain't that funny. So now Diane, I'm not coming back. But I'll look fondly on a time when you and I had stood for something. Just two bastards who had questioned every truth, every fact. It seems we've spilled our blood in vain, and all these words they don't mean nothing. So now Diane, I'm not coming back. Here's to years of holding hands, and drinking beers, and holding steady. Certain Songs hit close to home, so we never played it back. And as I watch you slowly dying I am dead inside already. So Diane, I'm not coming back.
